Another hot tape I came across recently is this Max B/Jim Jones tape. It is a collection of various collabos they did prior to the beef and Max leaving Byrdgang. I like old Jim Jones, like his first cd, before he thought he was actually a rapper. After that, he pretty much sucked until Max came through and saved his career with a mean hook game (not to mention probably doing a lot of writing for Jim). If it wasn't for Max, Jones' last cd, Hustler's P.O.M.E. would have been ass. Anyway, this tape is some of their hotter collabos from the past couple of years. Despite the fact I kind of hate on Jones these days, him and Max did have some ill chemistry...definitely cop this tape,if he doesn't end up going to jail, and if Jones doesn't blackball him, Max could become huge in the industry...

Remy Gets 8 Years, Wedding Postponed

NEW YORK (AP) -- Remy Ma's wedding plans are up in the air. But a judge has made definite plans for the Grammy-nominated rapper: eight years in prison for shooting a woman outside a Manhattan nightclub.

The state Supreme Court sentence was handed Tuesday to the 26-year-old rapper, whose real name is Remy Smith, for assault, weapon possession and attempted coercion.

The defendant, who could have faced up to 25 years in prison, was teary-eyed as she heard the sentence. She says the shooting last summer was an accident; an appeal is planned.

After the sentencing, a man identified by court officers as Remy Ma's fiance, fellow rapper Papoose, began screaming in a hallway outside the courtroom. "All you want is money!" he said, apparently referring to the victim.

"Lock me up! Lock me up!" he then shouted to court officers, who instead escorted him to an elevator and out of the courthouse.

The victim, Makeda Barnes Joseph, was in the courtroom for the sentencing. She did not appear to be in the hallway when the outburst occurred.

Correction officials say they called off the couple's weekend wedding at the Rikers Island jail after Papoose showed up with a handcuff key.

Remy Ma's lawyer, Ivan Fisher, denies that the key could be used to unlock handcuffs. Papoose is not charged.

Fisher says the two still plan to wed - perhaps after the bride-to-be's transfer to an upstate prison.

So finally the beef between these two gets interesting. I just find it funny the Shawty Lo is in D4L. Apparently Lo has issues with TI repping Bankhead (section of Atlanta). Apprently, Lo used to run Bowen Homes, the Bankhead project that looks like this:

DMX Arrested Again

"Rapper DMX’s driving continues to be a problem, as the rapper was arrested yesterday (May 6) evening by Arizona police for driving in excess of 100 MPH on a local highway with a suspended license. On January 21, the actor/rapper was photographed driving his 1966 Chevy Nova II on the Loop 101 at a speed of 100 miles per hour in a 65 mile per hour zone. Just a minute later, DMX, born Earl Simmons, was photographed at another camera moving at a speed of over 114 miles per hour. Three minutes later, DMX was caught on camera driving at a speed of 101 miler per hour. Police arrested DMX at his home in Cave Creek and charged the rapper with racing on a highway, reckless driving, two counts of endangerment, three counts of criminal speed and driving with a suspended license.

“This is an important arrest,” Roger Vanderpool Director of the Arizona Department of Public Safety told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Criminal speeding endangers the lives of everyone on the road. Mr. Simmons wasn’t signaled out because of his notoriety, we have made several arrests in the last few months of those people who flagrantly violate the speed limit and therefore endanger the lives of everyone else on the road. The photo enforcement program on the Loop 101 is making a difference with safety out on the highway.” DMX was booked into the Scottsdale County Jail and released earlier today (May 7)."

I first heard Gucci Mane on the track "So Icey" with Young Jeezy. Originally, I thought he sucked and was a Jeezy clone. However, I've since been proven wrong and he is definitely one of the hottest up and coming artists in the South. He's from East Atlanta and pretty much sticks to the ever popular topics of shooting, smoking weed, and selling coke. His accent combined with his ridiculous lyrics and even more ridiculous ad libs make for quite the interesting product. After he and Jeezy beefed over who should get to use "So Icey" on their album, Jeezy put a bounty on Gucci's chain, and 5 people ran down on him at his crib to rob him. Gucci started shooting in self defense and killed one of the men who happened to be a crip. Gucci eventually beat the homicide charge saying he was acting in self defense. And to top it off, the man has a Bart Simpson chain....
